Conference Cultural OfferingsIt’s our wish that participants will leave with the feeling that they really were at a conference in Hong Kong. We will be weaving various aspects of Hong Kong’s many cultural “faces” into the conference programme. There will be the opportunity to watch some memorable short performances given by local artists including a traditional lion dance to open the event; Chinese acrobatics, Kung Fu artists and local dancers at the Welcome Reception; and a traditional Mongolian Dance to close the conference. During tea breaks, participants can dip into local culture at their leisure, enjoying snatches of traditional calligraphy, Chinese music and costumes; then there’s the chance to walk the local streets through the photographic lenses of students and staff. Finally, after a day of presentations, participants will be able to savour the flavours of local cuisine at the conference dinner, and to experience the city first hand by climbing aboard the Rickshaw Bus*. *Please visit the Information and Help Desk for information where to catch the Rickshaw Bus. This is not a CAES organized cultural event. |
