Born in Hong Kong, Melanie immigrated to Canada at a young age. After graduating from University of Toronto, Melanie completed the Masters of Arts in International Hospitality Management in Switzerland and returned to Hong Kong where she worked in the aviation and hospitality industry for more than 4 years. Since then, Melanie has completed the Trinity Cert. TESOL and attained the Masters of Arts in Applied Linguistics at The University of Hong Kong. Melanie has been teaching English to tertiary students at City University of Hong Kong and the Chinese University School of Continuing and Professional Studies.
Her interests include second language acquisition and phonology.
