Patrick has over a decade of experience in English language teaching, curriculum development, educational leadership, and teacher professional development across school and university contexts. He began his career as an English teacher before serving as Head of English in two local secondary schools, where he developed expertise in curriculum design and teacher development.
After completing his studies at the University of Oxford, Patrick taught EAP, sociolinguistics, and applied English pedagogy to undergraduates, pre-service teachers, and in-service teachers at universities in Hong Kong. His areas of expertise include multimodal language learning and assessment, multicultural language learning, GenAI in language education, learner diversity, and the creative use of English.
Patrick is currently pursuing a PhD in teacher professional development and coaching.
