Jerry M. K. Lai is a Part-time Assistant Lecturer at the Centre for Applied English Studies (CAES) at The University of Hong Kong (HKU). With over a decade of English teaching experience since 2014, he specializes in delivering English for Academic Purposes (EAP) courses to undergraduate students. In addition to his work at CAES, Jerry designs and conducts specialized communication and professional writing courses at HKU SPACE for healthcare practitioners, dental technicians, and corporate professionals within the public transit sector. Furthermore, he provides high-level corporate training to CEOs and senior executives in the banking and financial industries.
Complementing his diverse academic and teaching profile, Jerry brings over eight years of international marketing management experience across the travel, FMCG, logistics, and telecommunications sectors. His core research interests lie in second language acquisition and pedagogy.
