Anthea first started work in real estate development and management upon graduation from National University of Singapore. She ventured into teaching at one point in life and loved it. She then set her mind to pursuing a second career in language education by obtaining a CELTA teaching qualification and later an MA in Language Teaching.
Before joining HKU, Anthea had taught language-related courses in the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, and City University of Hong Kong. Currently she teaches academic literacy and various English-in-the-Discipline courses. She also supervises students of MA(TESOL) for their independent projects.
