Liz holds a BA in English, an MA, and a Doctorate in Applied Linguistics. Before joining CAES as an Assistant Lecturer, she worked as a teaching assistant at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, where she taught courses in sociolinguistics and professional communication. Her earlier professional experience includes serving as an English-Chinese translator and interpreter and teaching English language enhancement courses in Mainland China and Indonesia. In addition to teaching, her research interests include discourse analysis and intercultural and professional communication.
