Sam has taught in Taiwan and Hong Kong, and has worked at the Centre for Applied English Studies since 2007. His work has focused on the development of disciplinary English course for Arts Faculty students, and the establishment of the CAES Writing Centre and CAES Communication Support Services. His applied research interests are second-language reading, extensive reading, and metacognitive strategies throughout the authoring process.
