Prior to joining CAES, Serina taught workplace English courses at the Vocational Training Council. At CAES, Serina has taught a range of undergraduate courses on Academic Communication in English and English-in-the-Discipline courses for Architecture, Business, Education and Nursing students. She has also taught specially-funded English courses for Computer Science students. Her research interests include English for academic purposes, discourse analysis and technology in language teaching and learning.
