Andrea Chai

Before joining HKU, Andrea worked in Singapore and the UK in the fields of translation and interpreting, and academic administration. She has also taught translation and English courses at various local higher educational institutions. At CAES, Andrea teaches academic English courses for undergraduate students and coordinates English-in-the-Discipline courses for the Faculty of Social Sciences. She also supervises MA student projects and teaches English courses for postgraduate students. Her research interests include intercultural communication, English teaching and learning in higher education, and English and international development.
