Matthew obtained his BA in English Studies and Linguistics from the University of Hong Kong (HKU). He then completed his PhD degree in language and law in the School of English, HKU. Prior to joining CAES, he taught EAP and ESP courses at the Chinese University of Hong Kong and PolyU CPCE. Matthew’s main areas of interest include legal-lay communication, medical communication, ESP/ EAP, and computer-assisted learning.
