Andy has held teaching positions in Hong Kong, Malaysia, and Japan. He has expertise in programme coordination, project management, course design, and teacher development.
At the Centre for Applied English Studies, Andy teaches academic literacy and English-in-the-Disciplines courses to undergraduate students. He supervises MA Applied Linguistics students and coordinates the elective course MAES7113 Teaching Multimodality for the MA(TESOL).
As Chair of the Centre’s Teaching and Learning Committee, Andy plays a key role in shaping pedagogical strategy and curriculum development. He also serves on multiple governance bodies, including the Centre Management Committee, the Faculty Teaching and Learning Committee, the university’s Committee for Language Enhancement and Artificial Intelligence Literacy, and the university’s GenAI User Advisory Committee.
Andy’s research focuses on the integration of multimodal approaches and digital pedagogy into English language teaching.
