Honorary Associate Professor, Part-time Senior Lecturer
Dr Lindsay Miller is an Honorary Associate Professor in the Centre for Applied English Studies at the University of Hong Kong. He teaches post-graduate courses in Vocabulary and Language Teacher Development. His main areas of research focus on Learner Autonomy, Academic Listening, and English for Science and Technology. He has co-authored, Establishing Self-Access: From Theory To Practice (1999: with D. Gardner) Cambridge University Press, Second Language Listening: Theory and Practice (2005: with J. Flowerdew) Cambridge University Press, and English in the Disciplines: A Multidimensional Model for ESP Course Design (2019: with C. A. Hafner) Routledge. Over the past twenty-five years he has been invited to give lectures, seminars and workshops in Hong Kong, Thailand, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, Korea, Pakistan, Spain, the UK, and the USA.
