Jerry Lai

Part-time Assistant Lecturer

MA in Japanese Studies, The Chinese University of Hong Kong

MA in Applied Linguistics, The University of Hong Kong

Jerry began his English teaching career in 2014. He is passionate about teaching English. He is currently teaching EAP courses at HKU.

 

He teaches undergraduate students a series of EAP and ESP courses, as well as writing courses for healthcare professionals and dental technicians at HKU SPACE. He also provides corporate training to CEOs in the banking and financial sectors. 

 

Jerry lived in the United States for 15 years before relocating to Hong Kong. Prior to beginning his teaching career, he worked in the private sector for over 8 years as a marketing manager in various industries. He has extensive experience in business negotiations and contract drafting. 

 

His research interests include second language acquisition and learning pedagogy.
