Jerry Lai

Jerry is passionate about teaching English and academic writing. He is currently teaching EAP courses at HKU.

 

He teaches undergraduate students a series of EAP and ESP courses, as well as writing courses for healthcare professionals and dental technicians at HKU SPACE. He also provides corporate training to CEOs and top executives in the banking and financial sectors. 

 

Jerry studied and worked in the United States prior to beginning his teaching career in Hong Kong. He worked in the private sector for over 8 years as marketing manager in the travel, FMCG, logistics, and telecommunications industries. 

 

His research interests include second language acquisition and learning pedagogy. He loves learning languages. He is currently learning Italian and had passed PLIDA B1 (all 4 papers) and B2 Speaking and Writing.
