Before becoming a PhD student at CAES, Siqi worked in the field of language education. She was an English lecturer at Hubei University of Technology in Wuhan, China and she also had experience working as a Chinese Mandarin teacher in US K-12 school. Siqi is passionate about second language education. She participated in the advanced studies program for visiting scholars at George Washington University a few years ago, where she worked on a project about the experience of Chinese students learning English academic writing in the EAP program. Her current research interest is about the academic literacy of bilingual/multilingual students.
