Before becoming a PhD student at CAES, Siqi worked as an English lecturer in Hubei University of Technology in Wuhan, China, where she taught academic English skills to undergraduate students. During 2019-2020, she participated in the advanced studies program for visiting scholars at George Washington University in the US, where she did research project on the experience of Chinese graduate students learning English academic writing in English-speaking universities. She also had experience working as Chinese Mandarin instructor in US elementary school. Siqi is passionate about second language education and improving the academic literacy skills of bilingual/multilingual students.
