Andy joined the Centre for Applied English Studies in 2023. He teaches a range of academic literacy and discipline specific English enhancement courses. Andy also supervises Master of Arts in Applied Linguistics students with their dissertations/portfolios and teaches on the centre’s Professional Development Programme for Teaching English for Academic Purposes.    

Andy’s academic interests include English for academic & specific purposes pedagogy, technology-enhanced language learning, and English Medium Instruction (EMI) in higher education. He has led/co-led projects on digital multimodal composing, personal knowledge management, and AI-powered speaking practice and feedback.
