Annie has been teaching English for over 15 years. Her major research focus during her doctoral studies was to investigate the effectiveness of genre-based pedagogy in developing students’ genre awareness and professional identities from a sociocultural perspective. In line with the genre-based learning concepts, Annie is keen on encouraging her students to see language as social actions for making meaning as well as a powerful tool of communication in building relationships, pursuing higher studies and paving the way for their future career.
Besides teaching EAP courses at the university, Annie has also been conducting writing workshops and giving literacy learning advice in various educational institutions.
