Research Assistant I
- BA, Comparative Literature and Sociology, The University of Hong Kong
- Joint MA, LUCA School of Arts
- MA, Cultural Studies, KU Leuven
Prior to joining CAES, Ziggy completed an MA in Cultural Studies at KU Leuven, including joint study at LUCA School of Arts (Brussels). She earned a BA from the University of Hong Kong in Comparative Literature and Sociology and received additional training in Anthropology at the University of Amsterdam. She is passionate how gender, migration, borders, language, and cross-cultural communication intersect in everyday life. Through internships and collaborations with NGOs and universities, she became especially interested in how media and technology, together with pedagogical approaches and cultural practices, shape people’s lived experiences, producing and contesting social boundaries, cultural capital, and inequalities. This background underpins her passion for working in higher education and advancing student engagement at CAES.
