Eliza Yu

Administration Manager

Graduated with a B.A. and a MSc. degree from The University of Hong Kong, I have also completed a Certificate course in Personnel Management from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University (then called HK Polytechnic). I have working experience in both the educational sector and the commercial sector. I worked in the Hong Kong Polytechnic, Cathay Pacific Airways Ltd and Hong Kong University of Science and Technology before joining CAES at HKU. My work experience covers personnel section, departmental administration, job evaluation, and academic support for postgraduates and public relations areas. I have a total of over 30 years experience in the tertiary educational administration field. I have general proficiency in English, Cantonese, Mandarin and French.

  • Assistance to the Director/Interim Director in all the administration of the Centre, covering courses logistics support for undergraduate, postgraduate, specially-funded courses and summer courses
  • Oversight over the financial administration in the Centre, working closely with all clerical/executive colleagues in the G.O. on the financial support for courses, projects etc.
  • Maintenance of the smooth operations of the General Office in the Centre and supervising all the 17 staff members in the General Office
