This section shows all the detailed academic qualifications of the applicant. Details include academic awards, overall GPA, test scores, projects, courses took, and course grades. Emphasis should be placed on course subjects that are relevant to the job requirements.
A list of all awards and achievements which demonstrates that the applicant possesses desirable skills (e.g. leadership) that can benefit the company.
Computer skills are important as many companies require the applicant to be proficient in several software programs, such as Microsoft Office, Photoshop, SPSS, etc.
Work experience is essential as it shows that the applicant has working knowledge and certain skills. Jobs should be listed chronologically from most recent to earliest.
Strong action words are used to describe the applicant’s accomplishments in his jobs. These action words characterizes his achievements in a concise and effective manner.
The applicant ties his academic interest with his work to emphasize his objective statement at the beginning of the CV.
It is beneficial to add how his job involved benefiting the entire company, as employers value that quality.
Knowledge of multiple languages is very useful, particularly if the job involves interacting with customers. Languages that you are most fluent in should be listed first, followed by languages which you are less fluent in.
Instead of listing his personal hobbies, the applicant invites the employer to enquire about specific skills or qualities that can be provided via a professional reference.
