Civil Engineer

YY has been a senior engineer for 3 years in the Civil Engineering department. Over the past year, he was mainly involved in three projects.

YY is exceptionally competent in the application of technical expertise with the awareness of availability of resources and budgetary constraints. As a leader of various projects, YY exhibits confidence in self and others and is able to motivate others to work and perform to the highest standard.

YY displays a client-oriented attitude and works actively to resolve conflicts and problems. This is particularly noticeable when handling government projects which involve a lot of bureaucratic procedures and constraints. That said, he is able to generate innovative and effective solutions.

As a mentor for 2 junior staff, YY readily offers them with help and constructive advice. He is willing to share his expertise and professional knowledge with his subordinates. For example, he invited the 2 junior engineers to participate in DEF consultancy project and guided them through various steps.

YY generally can respond well under pressure although he did miss deadlines once in a while in the past year. For instance, the soil profile analysis report was submitted two days late.
