Dear Mr. Wong,

RE: Application by Ms E. Law for the Post of Legal Researcher

I write at your request to supply a reference for the above captioned person who is applying for the above captioned post in your company. I have known Ms Law for the past 5 years as she has worked under my direct supervision as a general assistant in our very busy administrative office.

Ms Law has always worked to her best ability and has provided excellent support to our administrative, sales and quality assurance staff. She has undertaken willingly all tasks given to her and has never hesitated to work late if needed.

During her time working with us Ms Law has also committed herself to part-time study and has now completed her bachelor’s degree in paralegal studies. I understand from her explanation that she now has the requisite skills to match the requirements specified in your job advertisement. In addition, I should mention that she has an excellent command of English which I imagine would be useful in the advertised post.

Although Ms Law may lack somewhat in practical experience in your field I can assure you that she is intelligent, eager, hard-working and an exceptionally fast learner. She will not disappoint you in meeting and even exceeding your highest expectations.

Ms Law’s work ethic, endless energy and newly acquired qualifications make her ideal for the post you have advertised. I recommend her in the strongest terms for this post.

Please do not hesitate to contact me if you require further information.

Yours sincerely,

Jason R. Chong
