Aim:

This service aims to assist individual research postgraduate students who need help with their academic writing in English.

Learning Outcomes:

By the end of the course, students should be able to:

aware of his/her areas of weaknesses in academic writing and how to make improvements
more confident and competent in meeting the demands of graduate level academic writing

Strategies:

Identifying and addressing writing problems, and raising awareness of language difficulties of individual students
Discussing and giving feedback on individual students’ writing to help students improve their own capacity to plan, write, edit and revise academic papers
