Students must take ACE in their first year of studies. They can choose either the standard mode or the intensive mode.<\/p>\n
For the standard mode, the add\/drop periods will follow the <\/span>Important Academic Dates<\/span><\/a>. Please note that these dates can vary each academic year.<\/span><\/p>\n The intensive mode can be added or dropped during the Online Course Selection<\/a> and the f<\/a>irst-semester add\/drop period<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n First-year undergraduate students must enroll in either mode of the course CAES1001 if they have attained Level 3 or Level 4 in English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSE) (or equivalent) <\/span>in the same year in which they are admitted to the University<\/span><\/b>.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n CAES1001 course is <\/span>optional<\/span><\/b> for students who achieved <\/span>Level 5 or above<\/span><\/b> in English Language in HKDSE (or equivalent) in the same year in which they are admitted to the University. Such <\/span>students may take ACE as an elective on a non-credit bearing basis.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n CAES1001 timetables are available in the SIS system<\/span><\/b>.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
