Introduction
In the 1980s, the changes in education system, economic structure and social concept led to the changes of social pattern in Hong Kong. In the 1990s, the changes became obvious. The compulsory education system and the increasing of university vacancy enlarge the opportunity for acquiring higher education.. The changes of economy structure, more females involved in working. The fear of political stability led to the separation of family in different places. The influence of western social concept caused the changes of marriage concept and the family relationship. From 1990s, the family relationships became one of the causes of social problems in Hong Kong. Therefore, we would like to study the family relationships in the 1990s in order to be more understanding the changes in Hong Kong.
