The Title and the Introduction Many students make the mistake of defining the title of their research project - and therefore of their report - too soon. A good test of a title is to see how well it reflects the scope of the research questions - and a good test of those questions is to see how far they reflect the context - and the population - of the study. Note: Where a Literature Review title (as a separate task) can be topical and rather abstract, a research report title should reflect the cultural context in which the study is being conducted. TASK: Look at the Introduction in this task and compose a title which matches the scope of the study (i.e. not too broad - and not too narrow!) TITLE TASK |
